Pamoja Africa is a Tanzanian-owned, eco-conscious collection of luxury lodges and mobile camps operating across Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Ndutu, Kogatende, and Arusha. 'Pamoja' means 'together' in Swahili — the word captures our philosophy of travel that supports local communities and conservation.

We operate seven properties across northern Tanzania: Pamoja Farm Villas (Karatu), Tarangire Luxury Hideaway (Manyara), Manyara Baobab Lodge (Manyara), Pamoja Serengeti Luxury Camp (Seronera), Pamoja Migration Camp (Kogatende/Ndutu), Migration Undercanvas (Nyamburi), and Pamoja Verdant Farm Villa (Arusha).

For peak seasons (June–October and December–February) we recommend booking 6–9 months ahead, especially for Serengeti migration camps. Shoulder-season travel can often be arranged within 1–2 months.

Yes — every itinerary is customised. Tell us your interests (wildlife, culture, photography, honeymoon, family), travel dates, group size, and budget, and we will propose a matching plan.

Typically a non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking, with the balance due before travel. Exact terms are listed on your booking invoice.

Check-in is at 2:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM across all properties. Early check-in or late check-out can sometimes be arranged on request.

Most of our properties offer free Wi-Fi in public areas and many rooms. Remote safari camps may have limited or no Wi-Fi so guests can truly disconnect — we will tell you in advance what to expect.

Many are. Pamoja Farm Villas, Manyara Baobab Lodge, and Pamoja Verdant Farm Villa work particularly well for families. Mobile camps have minimum age guidance — ask us when planning.

Game drives, walking safaris, balloon safaris, bird watching, night drives, cultural visits (Maasai, Iraqw, Datoga), photography safaris, bush dining, and conservation experiences depending on the destination.

Most activities are low-impact. Walking safaris and crater-rim hikes require moderate fitness. Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro climbs require advance training — we can advise.

Yes. Tell us about allergies, vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, or other requirements when booking and we will brief each lodge and camp chef.

Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) is the main gateway for northern Tanzania safaris. Arusha Airport (ARK) handles domestic light-aircraft transfers to bush airstrips.

Most nationalities require a Tanzania visitor visa. An e-visa can be applied for online before travel, and many passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival. Confirm requirements with your local embassy.

Yellow fever vaccination is required if arriving from a yellow-fever-endemic country. Malaria prophylaxis is recommended for most safari regions. Consult a travel medicine clinic 4–8 weeks before departure.

Neutral-coloured clothing (avoid bright white and camouflage), layers for cool mornings and evenings, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, and a camera. We send a detailed packing list with your booking confirmation.

Our rates are quoted and invoiced in USD. We accept bank transfer and, for some packages, card payments. Exact payment options appear on your invoice.

Tipping is not included in our rates. Customary gratuities for guides, camp staff, and drivers are appreciated — we provide suggested amounts in your pre-travel briefing.

Cancellation terms depend on the property and season. They are stated explicitly on your booking invoice. We strongly recommend travel insurance covering cancellation, medical evacuation, and trip interruption.
